Bituminous
Extraction Solvents:
ASTEC
has a full range of asphalt extraction solvents to cover the various
State D.O.T. requirements. They
are also excellent cleaning agents for asphalt production and testing
equipment. The
three most popular are:
EXCEL
CLEAN HD is
a biodegradable, citrus based, water rinseable extraction solvent
that has become the industry standard because of it’s excellent
performance, ease of rinsing, and cost effectiveness.
It is approved by or meets the product specifications of most
states that require water rinseable, biodegradable products.
It can be used in both vacuum extraction and centrifuge type
equipment. EXCEL CLEAN
HD has a flash point of 125º F.
This product is made from citrus by-products which is a
renewable resource.
HISOL
PLUS is
a high flash extraction solvent that duplicates all of the excellent
properties of EXCEL CLEAN HD. It
is approved by or meets the product specifications of those states
requiring high flash solvents for bituminous extraction testing.
HISOL PLUS has a flash point of 142º F. and can be used in
both vacuum extraction and centrifuge equipment.
This product is made from citrus by-products, and other
biodegradable components.
POWERSOLV
is
non-rinseable extraction solvent for use when water rinsing in not
practical or desirable. This
product combines special petroleum distillates with citrus based
solvents for very effective performance.
It is approved by or meets the product specifications of most
states that allow the use of petroleum distillates.
POWERSOLV has a flash point of 115º F. and does not contain
any chlorinated solvents.
Asphalt
release coatings:
Glide-off is a highly concentrated,
alkaline soap type release
coating for application to asphalt hauling truck beds.
It will prevent asphalt from sticking to coated surfaces and
is easily applied with foamer or spray systems.
It is approved by or meets the product specifications of most
states. GLIDE-OFF
must be reapplied each time that the equipment is to come in
contact with fresh asphalt.
SUPER
NON-STICK COATING is a semi-permanent release coating for use on
asphalt production equipment. Spilled
asphalt simply won’t stick and can be peeled off coated surfaces.
This product is not approved for use where the asphalt mix
can come in contact with the coating.
STA-OFF
is our new release coating disigned especially for polymer
mixes.
ASPHALT CLEAN-UP PRODUCTS:
DISSOLVE
& DISSOLVE T (thickened) are petroleum based products for use in
asphalt clean-up. Both products are highly effective at dissolving
asphalt, and since they are water rinseable, once the asphalt has
been dissolved it can easily be rinsed away with water.
All of the asphalt extraction
solvents are also excellent for use in clean-up.
